Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lock 13 Brewpub website (lock13.ie) and the services we offer, including table reservations, online food ordering, gift voucher purchases, event bookings, and brewery tours. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Website Use

• This website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate bookings, orders, and enquiries.
• You agree to use the website lawfully and not to engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the website.
• We reserve the right to modify or withdraw any part of the website without notice.
• While we strive to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all content is error-free. Menu items, prices, and availability may change without notice.

3. Table Reservations

• Table reservations can be made through our website (via ResDiary), by phone, or by email.
• Reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.
• We hold reserved tables for 15 minutes past the booking time. After this, the table may be released to walk-in guests.
• If you need to cancel or modify a reservation, please do so at least 4 hours in advance by phone or through the booking confirmation link.
• For large party bookings (8+ guests), we may require a deposit. See Section 5 below.

4. Online Ordering

• Online food orders are processed through Toast, our point-of-sale partner.
• All prices displayed include VAT at the applicable Irish rate.
• Payment is taken at the time of ordering. We accept major credit and debit cards.
• Order confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders in exceptional circumstances (e.g. system errors, unavailability of items).
• Allergen information is available on request. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when ordering.

5. Event Bookings & Deposits

For private events, corporate bookings, and large party reservations, the following terms apply:

• A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of enquiry and depends on the event size and package chosen.
• The deposit is deducted from your final bill on the day of the event.
• Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days before the event. Your final bill will be based on the confirmed numbers or actual attendance, whichever is greater.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event will forfeit the deposit in full.
• Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event may be eligible for a date transfer (subject to availability) but the deposit remains non-refundable.
• Lock 13 reserves the right to cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. severe weather, emergency closures). In such cases, a full refund of any deposit will be provided.

6. Gift Vouchers

• Gift vouchers are purchased through Toast and are subject to Toast's terms of service for payment processing.
• Gift vouchers are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase, in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019 (Ireland).
• Gift vouchers can be redeemed for food, drinks, and services at Lock 13 Brewpub, The Thirteen cocktail bar, and for brewery tours.
• Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
• If the value of your order exceeds the voucher balance, the remaining amount must be paid by another method.
• If the value of your order is less than the voucher balance, the remaining balance stays on the voucher for future use.
• Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. Please treat your voucher like cash.

7. Brewery Tours

• Brewery tours of Kildare Brewing Company are available on Saturdays and Sundays and must be booked in advance.
• Participants must be aged 18 or over (tours include beer tasting).
• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
• Lock 13 reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to operational requirements, with full refunds provided.

8. Express Lunch Guarantee

Our Express Lunch menu comes with a 15-minute service guarantee:

• If your Express Lunch item is not served within 15 minutes of placing your order via QR code, that item is free.
• The guarantee applies to Express Lunch menu items only, ordered via the QR code ordering system during designated Express Lunch service hours.
• The 15-minute timer starts when your order is confirmed in our system.
• This guarantee is subject to availability and may be suspended during exceptionally busy periods at management's discretion.

9. Intellectual Property

• All content on this website — including text, images, logos, design, and code — is the property of Lock 13 Brewpub or its licensors and is protected by Irish and international copyright law.
• The Lock 13, Kildare Brewing Company, The Thirteen, and ProKulture names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

• This website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• Lock 13 Brewpub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services (e.g. ResDiary, Toast, Google Maps, Instagram). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these external sites. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

12. Allergens & Dietary Information

• Full allergen information is available on request from our staff.
• While we take every care to accommodate dietary requirements, our kitchen handles common allergens including gluten, dairy, nuts, and shellfish. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
• Please inform your server or include a note with your online order if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

13. Age Restrictions

• You must be aged 18 or over to purchase or consume alcohol at Lock 13 Brewpub, The Thirteen, or via online ordering.
• We operate a strict ID policy and reserve the right to refuse service.
• Children are welcome in the restaurant during food service hours and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our website or services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
